LIV Golf Dials In 2024 Schedule With PGA Tour Merger Still in the Works
LIV Golf is working to dial in its schedule for the 2024 season despite its merger with the PGA Tour still being in the works.
Many started questioning the future of LIV after it was announced in June that the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF) had agreed to merge with the PGA Tour. Although the terms of the merger are still being worked on, there is plenty of evidence that LIV is planning to move forward like it is business as usual, especially considering reports that it is working to finalize its schedule for next year.
The LIV-PGA Tour merger was not supposed to take place until the 2025 season anyway, at least according to reports that apparently had some leaked information regarding the terms of the merger. With that being said, 2024 is set to potentially be LIV’s last year as an independent golf promotion, and its schedule is different than years past.
After Bryson DeChambeau took down the LIV Chicago event this past weekend and slotted a $4 million check, there are things that remain steady: the winners of LIV Tournaments take home hefty paydays, and their scheduling is much more flexible than the PGA Tour.

As only one LIV player, Brooks Koepka has to prepare for the Ryder Cup this coming weekend, there is plenty of time for the guys to rest and recover for their next event.
The 2024 schedule will reportedly lack any tournaments at Trump Golf Courses, according to a report from Sports Illustrated.
Additionally, the schedule is set to feature eight events outside the United States, including tournaments in Mexico, Jeddah, Hong Kong, Adelaide, Singapore, Valderrama, England, and South Korea.
The year will be kicked off in Mayakoba in Mexico and will be followed by a tournament in Las Vegas, the report said.
U.S. events will be in Dallas, Los Angeles, and Oklahoma City, with the tournament in LA coming after the U.S. Open.
There is also a season-ending team championship event that is listed as “South Florida.”
