Summer is nearly here, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to put away everything with sleeves or pants. Indeed, the dew sweepers among us know all too well that morning rounds often mean temperatures in the low-to-mid-50s and layers staying on until the back 9.
No two pieces I currently own fit the weather’s dual personality better than Linksoul’s Drysdale Perf Polo and Melbourne Merino 1/4 Zip Sweater.

With respect to the former, the Drysdale Perf Polo features Linksoul’s Triple Chill Effect and brrr technologies, which work together to make sure to that you keep cool and dry. And while every apparel manufacturer offers something similar, the simple truth is that Linksoul was one of a few—if not the only—brands able to develop a material that doesn’t feel like a super itchy, synthetic polyester. Instead, the Drysdale Perf Polo feels soft and doesn’t irritate your skin.
As for the latter, the Melbourne Merino 1/4 Zip Sweater has quickly become a favorite. Indeed, after my first 18 holes with the Melbourne, I formally declared myself a sweater person and pushed all my 1/4 zips to the back of my closet.
As the name suggests, the Melbourne features an easy-care, 100% extra-fine merino wool construction, making it super soft, light, and warm—but not too warm where you start sweating. Instead, the Melbourne keeps you warm enough to wait out those brisk mornings, making it perfect for those morning car rides to the course, quick range sessions, and opening a few holes.
Sized correctly, the Melbourne becomes the softest second layer I’ve ever worn. The wrist sleeves are perfectly sized so they don’t droop and affect your grip, while the high neck collar also keeps the cool air off your neck.

As is the case with all of Linksoul’s pieces, these can both be worn while playing or while going to dinner at the club, drinks with friends, or brunch with the family. Each of these pieces, just like Linksoul’s other polos, sweaters, pullovers, shorts, and pants, features very minimalistic, subtle branding. Indeed, the Drysdale only features a small tag placed near the wist, while the Melbourne’s zipper pull is the only indicia of Linksoul branding.

That said, if you’re looking for something a little less conservative, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Linksoul’s graphic layers, including my personal favorite “Mandatory Golf Friday” t-shirt.
While summer is fast approaching, let’s enjoy the last bits of spring before we get slammed with overwhelming humidity. To ensure you can enjoy whatever you’re up to in comfort and style, make sure to check out Linksoul’s classy offerings.
