If you have been following Golficity for awhile you may have heard about the Fish and Chips Tour. What started as a comfort meal choice during The Scotland Series has taken on a life of its own. That birthed what is now known as the Fish and Chips Tour. This classic combo is a staple at golf courses world wide.

With a break in the cold weather I made my first stop on the Main Course Fish and Chips Tour! Pinecrest Golf Club in Huntley Illinois was ready to kick off this tour but first I needed to build up an appetite. We had snow coming in later so I only had time for 9 holes.

Because I haven’t played this course I had a little company. The course superintendent joined me and gave me an idea of where to hit the ball from tee to green leading me to a stellar round from the tips.

Hungry and jazzed up from the round I headed inside with Chef Scott to see what makes their Fish and Chips so special. Fresh made batter blended with PBR, homemade coleslaw and a locally brewed beer made for a very satisfying meal.

How did Pinecrest score on their round with Main Course?
