Rory McIlroy leads the power rankings heading into the Valero Texas Open, beginning on Wednesday, March 31.

Opting to skip the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, Rory will surely be looking to fine tune his game and peak at the right moment, just in time for The Masters.

The AT&T Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio favors longer hitters, and with Rory dialed in with his new TaylorMade Stealth driver, the odds are in McIlroy’s favor.

Ranked third in the power rankings is Jordan Spieth, the returning champion from the 2021 Valero Texas Open. Proving it was no fluke, Spieth followed his victory with a T-3 finish at Augusta National last year, finding his game at the right moment.

Looking shaky in his group at the Dell Match Play, Spieth will look to find his groove in a comfortable setting in his home state of Texas.
