Morgan Hoffman Hits The Bill of His Hat with His Golf Ball

Morgan Hoffman found himself in a bizarre situation in the bunker at the John Deere Classic.

It has been an emotional return in these past weeks from muscular dystrophy, however, Hoffman could have never foreseen something like this to occur.

Hoffman caught a bad break in the greenside bunker landing near the lip in the face of the bunker. This is when he pulled off the unintentional trick-shot and hit the bill of his hat! I’m sure Morgan and his caddie had a good chuckle about this. 

Hoffman regained his composure and nearly holed out on his second shot out of the bunker for par. Nonetheless, a solid bogey by Hoffman after making the putt to avoid a big number. 

Hoffman has some ground to make up sitting at +1 after the 1st round while J.T. Poston went low posting a bogey-free, 9 under. There will definitely be some fireworks in the coming round at TPC Deere Run.
