Dear Golf, I Love You – Erik

Dear Golf is a segment from The Erik Anders Lang Show where Erik asks his guest to write (verbally and on the spot) a letter to golf. Some are love letters, some are statements, some are phrases, some are poems, and some are just one word – but whatever it is, the Dear Golf letter is a unique way to express your relationship or feelings for the game of golf.

Erik Anders Lang may be most-well known for the Skratch YouTube series, Adventures In Golf, but EAL has recently launched his own YouTube channel which is chalked full of plenty of great content, including his epic golf adventure across Scotland.

However, that’s not what this post is about.

Instead, I’d like to direct your attention towards EAL’s video, Dear Golf, I Love You – Erik

Before you hit the start button, I’d like you to make sure you’re somewhere that you can dedicate the next 5 minutes to listening to everything that will be said and, ideally, a couple additional minutes to digest everything and reflect on how golf has impacted your life.

While we’re all very quick to get wrapped up in PGA Tour news and events or the newest equipment to hit the market, the fundamental truth is that 99% of us play golf because we love the game of golf.  Whether we’re attracted to the competitive nature the reality that we’ll never “beat” the game or just enjoy the unspoken relationship that ties golfers around the world together, this truly is a beautiful game that you could enjoy every day you spend here on earth.

In addition to checking out EAL’s other videos, make sure to check out The Golf Podcast Episode 234, featuring special guest Erik Anders Lang.

Kicking it with Erik Anders Lang

This week we sat down with Erik Anders Lang at Golf & Body NYC to chat about his upcoming third season of “Adventures in Golf” as well as his soon-to-be-released and highly anticipated documentary, “Be the Ball,” where Erik explores the mental game in a way that’s never been done before.

Ever since golf became a competitive outlet, nothing brings Eric more joy than a well struck 4 iron. And despite living in NYC, Eric makes it a priority to work on his game and fitness during the week, along with a round or two over the weekend. Fortunately, he’s got a very understanding fiancé who (for the time being) accepts him and his obsession. Follow Eric on IG @hozel_rocket.
