There’s a lot to unpack from Netflix’s trailer for the new docu-series “Full Swing,” that followed several stars on the PGA Tour—including many who have since moved to LIV Golf—but current LIV player Ian Poulter may have said it best in the trailer.

“You picked a hell of a year to start following the PGA Tour,” Poulter said in the trailer.

Justin Thomas, who is also featured, was on the GolfMagic podcast “From the Tips” and talked in-depth about the series.

“Maybe [Netflix] just knew something that we didn’t. It is mind-blowing when it started at the beginning of the year and the amount of storylines just through players and what they’re trying to accomplish,” Thomas said.

Expect to get an inside look at Dustin Johnson, Joaquin Niemann, Brooks Koepka, and Poulter as they depart the PGA Tour for LIV Golf during the year.

Even without the added LIV drama, the series will be a must-see, as it follows the Netflix docu-series “Drive to Survive,” which follows the Formula 1 circuit and led to a surge in that sport’s popularity that saw it surpass NASCAR ratings in the 18-49 television demographic and led to a big increase in rights fees from ESPN.

But with an inside look at how these stars departed the PGA Tour midseason, it’s easy to imagine that fireworks were going off behind the scenes, and we’ll soon have a front-row seat for all of it.
