NEW: Nike Releases 2019 US Open Themed Golf Shoes
The third Major of the year brings yet another series of releases by Nike Golf, and as they did with Bethpage Black, they pay homage to Pebble Beach Golf Course in each design.
“It’s a departure from the stuffy competition classics, out to give the game a much-needed breath of fresh air and inspired by iconic sporting rebels who dared to play different,” said the brand’s press release. “The No Denim Allowed pack breaks the mould with bold denim accents and playful florals just in time for Summer.”
The three new styles will be available, online only, at both DicksSportingGoods.com and GolfGalaxy.com, at 10 a.m., ET on June 13th, the first day of the U.S. Open.
The Air Max 1G, React Vapor 2, and the Roshe G Tour all feature denim fabric designs (a little dig at the “No Denim Allowed” golf course rule), a floral print on the bottom of the shoes and in the sockliner, and a “100” logo on the heel, which is a nod to the iconic golf course itself.
I’m personally struggling between the React Vapor 2 and Roshe G Tours. I’m super-into the raised Swoosh on both shoes and the clear cleat design.
I think I’m going Roshe G.
No wait…no…Vapors. I’m going to go with the React Vapors. No, wait…
