NEWS: Bryson Declined Potential Pairing With Brooks at US Open
It seems that the fans wishes regarding the potential pairing of Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka for the US Open was extremely close to being realized.
According to Brad Faxon, the USGA reached out to DeChambeau and his agent about the two being paired up.
“The USGA did call Bryson DeChambeau and his agent and asked if they would be okay with that, and Bryson declined.” Faxon said on the US Open station of SiriusXM radio.
“Bryson declined”

So, while the USGA may have heard fans cry for the two to be paired up, DeChambeau obviously isn’t too hot on the idea of being paired with his best mate, Brooksy.
A tragedy that could have been avoided with a simple ‘Yes’ from team DeChambeau.
