REVIEW: This Push Cart Will Make You Rethink Paying a Cart Fee
I’ve been in the market for a push cart for some time and I’ve been looking to get one as several of the courses in my area are more suitable for walking than others. It also seemed like a good idea to entertain a push cart for some more exercise, as I think most of us enjoy a few adult beverages or the traditional turn hot dog, and walking 9 or 18 holes wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing to burn those things off.
There are a lot of options out there. In a world of emerging technology, there are electric carts that follow you, remote-controlled ones that you don’t have to push, and of course, the traditional, manual push cart, which is what Omada Golf sent me to try out.

Its compact design when not in use eliminates any excessive use of space, it has plenty of storage, a brake for the more hilly courses, a drink cup holder, and even a super comfy handle that was more of an advantage that I expected.

Packing It Up
I drive a Ford Bronco Sport, which is an SUV, but I do wish it had more cargo space in the trunk. For my annual golf trip, we had four bags in the back of it, but all of the drivers, woods, and hybrids were pulled out and sat in the middle row with the rear passengers so the bags would fit correctly.
I was a tad concerned about the space for both my bag and the push cart, but luckily, the Omada Tri-Lite’s foldable design made my worries go away:

I sat it upright, and then threw my bag in front of it, with my shoes closest to the trunk hatch. It was an easy fit and nothing shifted around during my ten minute commute to the golf course.
Smooth and Comfortable Operation
I played Bridgewater Golf Club again, the same course I played for my review of the Titleist Players 4 StaDry bag. It is hilly, tough to walk, and a challenge, for sure.
I walked nine holes and, with the challenging terrain, I knew it would be an ideal test for the Tri-Lite. It was smooth because of the large, plastic wheels, it was easy to turn, and handled large hills that I had to go down either directly or at an angle with ease. But there were some things I thought were odd.
To turn the Tri-Lite, you have to lift the front wheel off the ground and maneuver it that way. I thought that it was rather strange that I couldn’t just turn the push cart normally, and this was a minor issue for me. It was not anything that ruined by whole experience, but it was definitely something that was odd to me.
Nevertheless, it handled hills, bumps, cart paths, anything I put in its path very well.
Storage Compartment
The storage compartment was great, and the design is an excellent idea. However, the longer clubs in your bag will block it, but it is still relatively easy to access.
There is a lot of room in here. I comfortably stored a range finder, my wallet, and an extra ball in there, but I could have put an extra hat for a cold day, a snack, and other things in here with plenty of room. Only walking nine holes on this particular day, there was no need for a snack, but if I wanted to throw a bag of beef jerky in there, I wouldn’t have had an issue doing so.

What I Wish Was Better
The only true complaint that I absolutely hated about this cart was the water bottle holder. It is separate from the cart and attaches to it via a small knob on the side. It is supposed to snap on, but I couldn’t get it to do so, not with any sort of strategy I used, and it constantly spun, throwing my water bottle out on the cart path and damaging it.
At one point, I considered just carrying my water bottle on my own, but instead, I decided to stabilize the water bottle holder with my free hand while pushing the cart with the other. I would like to see a more effective option here.
The Bottom Line
This was truly a great product and an awesome experience. I was so happy with what Omada’s design brought to the table: a lightweight, portable push cart that I can use on the beautiful days to walk some great courses in my area. With only one real issue being the water bottle holder, the Tri-Lite from Omada is really an ideal option for anyone looking for an awesome first push cart for themselves.
