Patrick Reed Withdraws From DP World Tour Event With An Injury
Patrick Reed has been one of the LIV Golf players who has—despite being one of the faces of the controversy—played in DP World tour events in order to maintain his standing in the Official World Golf Rankings.
His trip around Europe started well with a fifth-place finish at the BMW PGA Championship in England a couple of weeks ago, but things went south this past week in France.

Not only did Reed miss the cut at the Cazoo Open de France, Reed also didn’t have a pleasant stay in Versailles during the tournament.
Reed explained to Irish Golfer
“The mattress was just too soft for me… I played well in the pro-am, but the pain in my back was getting worse.”
That back issue is keeping Reed out of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championships, as he pulled out of this weekend’s event in Scotland.
Reed has also ruffled some feathers by defying the DP World Tour’s order that LIV Golf members not wear LIV attire in its events. After wearing a LIV hat during a practice round in Wentworth earlier this month, Reed went full-on rebel and wore a LIV shirt and hat in the first round in France last week.

The next LIV event is next weekend in Thailand, and as of now, Reed is expected to participate.
