PGA Championship: Phil’s Family A Big Part Of Historic Win
Phil Mickelson just set the golf world on fire by capturing the PGA Championship at the ripe old age of 50. As surprising as this was for many golf fans, his family knew it was coming.
Last week at a family dinner:
Phil: I had a complete breakthrough/epiphany today. I will win soon.
Tim: I can attest to that. Playing best golf in a while.
Today was not as shocking as it might have seemed. @PhilMickelson @goodwalkspoiled— Tina Mickelson (@TinaMickelson) May 24, 2021
Considering the length of the course and his age, I didn’t think Phil would hold off the field but I should know by now. Phil loves the attention and he would make damn sure he got it. He was certainly getting attention from his family as the text chain was buzzing.
While you guys were busy on the golf course, I was busy fielding Mom’s “nervous texts”.😂 @PhilMickelson @goodwalkspoiled pic.twitter.com/ZyZZ5xvdRN

I can’t imagine the joy and pride the Mickelson family must feel right now. Their son, Brother and friend just accomplished something nobody else had ever done.

Congratulations to Phil on his historic win. I guess all that’s left is to give him a solid thumbs up and a tip of the cap.
