PGA TOUR Announces Docu-Series Partnership with Netflix
After hearing rumors for months about a docu-series about PGA TOUR players, the PGA TOUR and Netflix officially announced their partnership on Wednesday that “will provide unprecedented access to golf’s biggest names and events throughout the season.”

The series is being produced by the same producers who made the popular Netflix docu-series Drive to Survive focusing on FORMULA 1 racing.
The cast of PGA TOUR players that have agreed to join on board include major winners, Ryder Cup and President’s Cup stars, and 5 of the top 7 players in the world to just cover a few. Even the four major championships agreed to join on board, including the exclusive Augusta National Golf Club.
Here is the list of PGA TOUR players who have signed on. In addition, the No. 1 ranked amateur in the world Keita Nakajima has also signed on.
Here’s the complete list of pros who have signed onto the Netflix docuseries, including 5 of the top 7 (!!) in the world.

This list of players is absolutely unbelievable and is for sure to make this series must watch! Whether it is stars like Collin Morikawa, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka or up and coming stars like Joel Dahmen, Harry Higgs and Max Homa, each player is going to bring new eyeballs to the game and show fans exactly what the PGA TOUR grind is like.
Although there is a star-studded cast committed to the show, the notable PGA TOUR players that did not agree to be featured includes Jon Rahm, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau. Even though these stars will not be featured they could still make appearances on the show but we will just have to wait and see.
The players are able to dictate the amount of access the series has into their personal lives, either way any access is better than what we have currently.

Although there is not an official release date set yet, Golf.com’s Dylan Dethier stated:
“filming will continue through the end of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, wrapping with the Tour Championship at the end of August. Following the model of Drive to Survive, the show’s first episodes will likely be released as hype builds for the following Tour season in early 2023.”
I could not be more excited for this series to hit Netflix in 2023. I think a series like this will shine a positive light on the PGA TOUR and attract many more eyeballs helping to grow the game more than ever before.
Rick Anderson, Chief Media Officer of the PGA TOUR said in the official press release:
“This partnership with Netflix presents the PGA TOUR and the four major championships an opportunity to tap into a completely new and diverse audience. This documentary will give fans an authentic look into the real lives of our athletes, and what it’s like to win — and lose – during a season on the PGA TOUR.”
2023 can’t come soon enough! How excited are you to watch this docu-series?
