PGA TOUR Chief Monahan Links with PIF Governor Al-Rumayyan On Course Once Again
PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan and Saudi PIF Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan are playing a round of golf once again this week at the Aramco Ladies Team Series Event.
Just a month after the pair were grouped together at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland in early October, the two are on the links together once again.
It is the latest piece of information that shows the two are still chugging along on the potential merger that could finally bring the PGA TOUR and LIV Golf back together, ending the divide in professional golf.

ESPN
Bunkered first reported the two were playing together once again, stating they would play a “floodlit pro-am at Riyadh Golf Club.” The round took place on Thursday.
LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman, who will likely assume a new position within the golf league, was also on-site, according to the report.
It shows the tension between the two, despite attempting to come to terms with what could perhaps the biggest professional sports merger in decades, is relatively non-existent. The two were seen at Alfred Dunhill laughing and smiling, seemingly showing the pair of executives are keen on getting a deal done.
LIV Golf is also the subject of some controversy within the PIF, as Al-Rumayyan said this week that the PIF would be trimming back overseas investments by 10-12 percent. This would effectively give LIV Golf less money to spend on PGA TOUR players.
However, he may not need to worry about poaching more players, as a deal seems more likely to come together in the coming months. Some players believe it will strike before the end of the year.
