PGA TOUR Invites a YouTube Golf Sensation to Play a Tournament
The PGA TOUR has officially extended an invitation to a YouTube Golf sensation to play an upcoming tournament.
However, he is still on the fence.
There is a lot of discussion on who the best YouTube Golfer is — without counting Bryson DeChambeau — but many would tell you it is Grant Horvat.
Horvat announced today that he was officially invited by the PGA TOUR to participate in the upcoming Barracuda Championship in Reno, Nevada, a tournament that was won by Nick Dunlap last year.
This year, the tournament takes place from July 14 to 20. Horvat is up in the air about it:
What’s the worst that can happen?
Go for it!

We encouraged him to take the jump.
Horvat has been transparent that, in the past, the nature of competitive golf truly takes him out of his game and he begins to think too much. While he has been successful in the 2v2 series he’s established with Phil Mickelson, tournament golf has not been his favorite thing to do, so the hesitancy is understandable.
However, what truly is the worst that can happen? It’s important to remember that, even if Horvat were to play terribly, all pros have rounds that just don’t click. Dunlap shot a 90 at Augusta National during the first round of The Masters last week, and he won this very tournament last year.
Should Grant go for it and play in the event?
