PGA TOUR Makes MASSIVE Announcement Regarding Corporate Layout
The PGA TOUR made a massive announcement this morning regarding the corporate layout of the company.
Commissioner Jay Monahan confirmed today the PGA TOUR would be establishing a new CEO position as the sport continues to navigate the division caused by the creation of LIV Golf, which disrupted the sport and caused many players to leave the TOUR.
Monahan said in an end-of-year message to fans:
“We’re bringing new perspectives onto our team to realize the incredible opportunities ahead for our sport. We can learn so much from the world of sport and entertainment, and I’m excited to meet candidates for this important new role.”

Monahan will remain in his position as commissioner, serve on the PGA TOUR Board, and be part of the new for-profit arm called PGA TOUR Enterprises.
It will be interesting to see who the TOUR considers for the position and if it will tap a former player or a major sporting executive. LIV Golf recently replaced Greg Norman as CEO with Scott O’Neil, who was a chief executive of the Philadelphia 76ers.
