While Cobra might have been the first OEM to debut some of its 2025 offerings, PXG is hot on its heels with two forthcoming models.

Check out the two below:

Pictured first is a new Black Ops model: the Ultra-Lite (listed in 9° and 10°). This new model appears very similar to the standard 0311 Black Ops driver with one noteworthy modification—a single sole weight. The toe and heel weights appear to be removed, but likely in an attempt to—as the name suggests—reduce the head weight of this new model.

It’s worth noting that lightweight driver heads have become increasingly commonplace in the marketplace. XXIO’s entire brand is built around lightweight golf clubs to help free up speed (and power) for slower swing-speed golfers. Looking to chip into that market, Titleist (TS1, TSi1, and, most recently, the TSR1) and Callaway (Star) have also offered lighter-weight clubs—drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons), so PXG is looking to capture another type of golfer with this newest ultra-forgiving, high-speed Black Speed model.

Second is the Secret Weapon. Listed only in a 13° head, this is likely a more finalized version of the Secret Weapon Mini-Driver head that was spotted on the PXG Tour Truck earlier this year.

Mini Drivers have become the newest “must-have” club on the Tour, with Callaway’s Paradym Ai Smoke Ti 340 Mini Driver and TaylorMade’s BRNR Mini Driver leading the charge.

It’s worth noting that while many Tour golfers complained that fairway woods (specifically, three woods) were getting too powerful and creeping on driver distance, mini-drivers have become popular due to their flexibility. They can be used from the tee box or fairway while also being more controllable due to increased spin rates combined with a shorter shaft length.

It’s worth noting that we’re still in October, and the equipment season doesn’t really kick off until the Hawaii Swing gets underway in mid/late November and December. So make sure to follow Golficity for future equipment updates!
