PXG kicked in the door with the release of three new pieces of equipment: new GEN7 P and XP irons, Black Ops Irons, and Sugar Daddy III Wedges.

Unfortunately, the full suite of technical details and improvements won’t be confirmed until the official release on August 7th, but some details have been released.

Specifically, the GEN7 irons will feature a titanium—rather than steel—weight positioned on the backside of the club head, which has historically been used to increase forgiveness and help dial in club weight. Moreover, it appears that the GEN7 will come in Double Chrome and Xtreme Dark DLC finishes.

The Black Ops irons look to expand on PXG’s super-hot metalwoods release bearing the same name. Although no technical details have been confirmed (yet), PXG has confirmed that these will be a brand-new game improvement offering.

In the absence of confirmed details, it’s worth noting that PXG is the developer of the original super-fast, hollow-body irons, and their offerings over the years have been, arguably, the fastest, longest, and most forgiving offered, so it’s safe to say the GEN7 and Black Ops irons will continue this trend.

Finally, there’s the Sugar Daddy III Wedges. Like the prior iteration, these will be three-times forged and milled—meaning a precision construction that feels and performs incredible.

Most noticeable about the newest iteration is that weight ports have been drilled out that, imaginable, promote forgiveness and a more penetrating ball flight. Additionally, PXG has confirmed the Sugar Daddy IIIs will come with more grind options that better complement different swing types and turf conditions.

The GEN7 irons, Black Ops irons, and Sugar Daddy III Wedges will all officially debut on August 7, 2024, so mark your calendars and keep your eyes on Golficity for a more detailed feature on this new equipment release.
