Rank and File PGA Tour Players Feel Their Voice Isn’t Being Heard in PIF Talks
It’s been made clear that several PGA Tour players are involved in the negotiations with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) to finalize the long-standing deal between the sides that was made in June 2023.
But while player reps like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Jordan Spieth are heavily involved, players who aren’t in those positions say they feel like their voice isn’t being heard.
Adam Hadwin (@ahadwingolf) weighs in on the decision-making process on the PGA Tour.
“Of course I have opinions and stuff, but I don’t think they matter. You hate to say that, but it’s a bit of an ego-check sometimes. Honestly, I have no idea what’s going on.” pic.twitter.com/DfcAph3goC

Adam Hadwin said on SiriusXM’s PGA Tour Radio:
“I have learned over this past year and a half that I do not really have much of a say, which, at some points, I’m okay with. Of course, I have opinions and stuff, but I don’t think they matter. You hate to say that, but it’s a bit of an ego check sometimes. Honestly, I have no idea what’s going on.”
Matt Fitzpatrick, who has won on both the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, said something similar recently.
Fitzpatrick said:
“I just don’t care. Me saying things to the PGA Tour board, me saying things to the DP World Tour board, it’s not going to change, so why am I going to waste my time talking about it?”
Going back to Hadwin’s comments, his wife, Jessica, weighed in with some humor on social media to provide some marital advice.
If he said this more often at home we would have less marital disputes https://t.co/OkmD0pWic3
