RBC Heritage | Fantasy Picks, Betting Odds, Bets I LOVE This Week

Man, it’s nice to have PGA Tour golf back. Last week didn’t disappoint and was the perfect return to action with such a stacked leaderboard. This week should be no different. The best players in the world will tee it up once again at Harbour Town Golf Links. The RBC Heritage is normally played the week following the Masters, resulting in a second tier field. That isn’t the case this week.

Harbour Town is similar to Colonial in many ways, as it plays to more accurate players compared to bombers. Total distance is under 7,100, and features many forced layups. Iron play is essential here, and you must play Par 4’s well.

With this field, we should have no problem figuring out our lineups and bet slips for the weekend. Let’s dive in…

Fantasy Picks

Let’s start with a few players I’m looking at from each price tier.

Expensive Tier

Xander Schauffele – $10,200 (DK)

Xander is coming off heartbreak, which could either be motivation, or he’ll fade this week. I see him coming into this tournament and getting right back at it. He’s a mental warrior, and a fighter. He was my pick to win last week, and he’ll be up there again this week. Xander is an excellent iron player, and finds a very high % of greens, which is critical at Harbour Town. It’s a lot of target golf, and Xander will shine. He doesn’t have great history at the course, but I love him this week.

Collin Morikawa – $10,000 (DK)

Another player coming off heartbreak, losing in a playoff on Sunday. Collin was in complete control of his irons, just struggling on the greens. Harbour Town is an iron player paradise. Collin should have an easy time bouncing back this week and getting back in contention.

Middle Tier

Matt Kuchar – $8,300

Kuch just finds his way into contention almost every week. He is so consistent, and always a good option for fantasy. The shorter course should play in Kuchar’s favor, as he doesn’t have to keep up with the big hitters. He has great history here, coming in 2nd last year.

Gary Woodland – $8,400

This seems very cheap to me. Gary is coming off an overall great performance at Colonial. He struggled on the last day, but so did much of the top of the leaderboard entering the round. He is a fantastic ball striker, and his swing looked perfectly synced up last week. I love this play, as I think he is being undervalued.

Cheap Tier

Kevin Kisner – $7,700

This is a must play. I’m putting Kis in every lineup this week. He’s a local boy to the track, played well last week at Colonial, and loves the short courses. He is a great iron player, and can roll the rock as good as anyone on Tour. He finished T7 in 2018, and T11 in 2017.

Bets I LOVE (Odds on DraftKings Sportsbook)

Kevin Kisner Finish Top-10  / +550

I think everything is trending towards Kisner having a great week this week. He may not win, but Kis loves the shorter courses, and his game fits this course perfectly.

Xander Schauffele Finish Top-10  / +250

Despite his high finish last week, I think Xander is being undervauled here. He’s going to come out the gates fast, ready to get back what he lost last week on the 17th green.

Justin Thomas Finish Top-5  / +350

Because Harbour Town is short, these guys are going to have a lot of wedges into holes this week. Why not throw some money on one, if not the best, wedge player on tour. JT is coming off a great week, look for him to stay hot.

I grew up in southern New Hampshire, where I first fell in love with the game of golf. I started by just going out and messing around with my buddies and focusing purely on having a good time! I never took golf seriously until I moved down to Tampa, FL to attend the University of South Florida. Go Bulls! At the start of my junior year I got a job working as a cart boy at a local private country club. This is when I started to focus on golf becoming my career. During the fall of my senior year, I turned from a 14 handicap, to a 2. I passed the PAT scoring test my first try and haven't looked back.
