Report: Another LIV Golf Executive Is Out of the Organization
Less than a month after its COO resigned, another executive with LIV Golf is reportedly gone from the organization.
The Sports Business Journal reports that Matt Goodman, who was the series’ president of franchises, is out as the league prepares for an expanded second season. Sports Illustrated later confirmed the news.

It’s unclear whether Goodman resigned or was fired. He joined LIV in May, coming from New York City FC of Major League Soccer and the NBA’s front office prior to that.
He was charged with leading the operations for LIV’s 12 teams, which is a unique part of their business model. It had been reported that the Saudi-backed Public Investment Fund would look to divest itself from LIV through the sale of these franchises in the coming years.
Revenue is a big topic for the league that still does not have a television rights deal in the United States and also lacks corporate sponsorship.

Last month, LIV Chief Operating Officer Atul Khosla resigned after just one year with the group. It’s been reported that he hasn’t yet been replaced, as a U.K.-based consulting firm is handling his duties.
LIV’s 14-event 2023 schedule is set to tee off next month at Mayakoba in Mexico. No new golfers have yet been announced for this season, but CEO Greg Norman said late last year that he expects about seven new participants in the series.
