We don’t even know what the future holds for LIV Golf in 2024 and beyond, but CEO Greg Norman has said that it’s business as usual with the circuit, and that would include reportedly proposed changes for what will be its third season.

Sports Illustrated is reporting that LIV will be borrowing concepts from other team sports for its 12 franchises.

First, a college sports-like transfer window will be available for players to head to new teams in 2024. In addition, there will be a trade deadline so that captains can make deals for new players during the season.

Bryson DeChambeau, who captains a team on the circuit, said it will make things more competitive on a tour that’s known for paying out large sums of money.

“I can’t speak for everyone, but what I can say is that if it comes time to where someone’s not performing well, and it’s been enough time to try and get given that opportunity to play well, and it’s not been done, I will make a decision based on that,” DeChambeau said.

Under the current format, winners of the team competition get $750,000 at each event. In the team championship event in October at Doral, the purse is $50 million, with each member of the winning team taking home $4 million.
