Round 2 Recap at The Memorial Tournament

Mr. Number 2 was at it again…for the third straight tournament Rory McIlroy failed to make the cut. He departed Friday after shooting a 7-over 79 in the second round of the Memorial at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Rory has now missed three straight cuts as Luke Donald (No.1) stays to play over the weekend.
The missed cut was his eighth on the PGA Tour since turning pro in 2007.
A sick, coughing Tiger Woods donning his gray sweater, played an outstanding round on Friday to finish at -5. (1 below the current leader Rory Sabbatini) Some of the Par 3’s looked as if Tiger was throwing darts at the hole… that’s how locked in he was.
As a four-time winner at Muirfield, Woods shot a 3-under 69 during the second round and trails leader Rory Sabbaini by 1 stroke.
Sabbatini, who finished his last 12 holes bogey free shot 3-under 69.
With Sabbatini atop the leaderboard at -6, Woods is tied for second with Spencer Levin(72) and Scott Stallings(73).
