Russell Knox Claims a Landmark Victory at the WGC-HSBC Champions
After four spectacular rounds of golf in Shanghai, Scotsman Russell Knox has claimed a two shot victory at the WGC-HSBC Champions.
Knox had a total of 200 going into the final round, where then the world number 85 holed six birdies to finish the round with a 68, leaving him top of the pack at -20.
Close behind in second was yesterdays leader Kevin Kisner on -18, followed by Danny Willet in tied 3rd, after equaling the course record with a final round of 62.

Knox has made a landmark victory, as he is the first man to win a WGC event on a debut appearance since Jeff Maggert in 1999, and is also the first Scot to win the Championship event.
This is Knox’s first ever victory on either the European or PGA Tour, which will be sending him to the Masters in April for this first time, and also the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
Talking to BBC Sport, he said: “I always kind of thought I was going to win a big one as my first one but this is going to take a long time to sink in,”
