These Two Scottie Scheffler Stats Will BLOW YOUR MIND
It continues to be Scottie Scheffler’s world, and we’re all just living in it.
We have not seen this type of dominance on the PGA TOUR since Tiger’s reign through the sport in the late 1990s and through the 2000s, but it is undeniable that what is going on is extremely special.
Scheffler is the first player since Woods to have some incredible stat lines that seem to indicate he is truly in a league of his own. After his win at The Memorial this past weekend, another couple of absolutely insane statistics are evidently making their rounds, demonstrating that Scheffler’s dominance is not only rare but more decisive than you might think.
A Woods-like Feat Realized
Scheffler became the first player since Tiger Woods in 2001 to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational, THE PLAYERS Championship, The Masters Tournament, and The Memorial Tournament in the same year.
Going into the third Major of the Year, the only substantial accomplishment missing from the list is the PGA Championship, which was won by Xander Schauffele.

Incredibly, only five players have won The Masters, THE PLAYERS, and The Memorial in their careers: Scheffler, Woods, Couples, Floyd, and Nicklaus.
Scheffler and Woods accomplished the feat in the same year, while the others took their entire careers to do so.
Demolishing the Field Average
Another insane statistic, thanks to Scheffler, is the field average metric through the past eight events.
According to CBS golf reporter Kyle Porter, if a golfer played the last eight events that Scheffler has played, made the cut at each of them and played them to the field average, he would be +5 through 32 rounds.
Not Scheffler.
He’d be -106.
If a PGA Tour golfer played the last 8 events Scheffler has played — API, Players, Houston, Masters, RBC Heritage, PGA and Memorial — made the cut at all eight and played them all to the field average, he would be about +5 at the end of those 32 rounds.

This is thanks to Scheffler’s incredible Strokes Gained performance. He leads the TOUR in both Approach and Total Strokes Gained, while he is 2nd Off the Tee and 14th Around the Green. He is 71st in Putting.
His Approach category is truly something to marvel at. The TOUR records statistics for Proximity to Hole, GIR Percentage, Approach Outside 100 Yards and Inside 100 Yards.
He is first in Proximity with an average of 34′ 2″, first in GIR percentage, hitting it 73.52 percent of the time, first in Outside 100 Yards at 11′ 4″, and third inside 100 yards at 31′ 8″.
