The World No. 1 golfer picked up the charges after attempting to enter Valhalla Golf Club for his 10:08 a.m. tee time on Friday of the PGA Championship. Detective Bryan Gillis claimed in a report he was “dragged” by Scheffler’s car.
However, a video released by the Louisville Metro PD last week seemed to show he did not come into contact with Scheffler’s vehicle until it had stopped moving, and he had slammed a flashlight into the golfer’s vehicle.
He was then pulled from his car, detained, and arrested. He made it to Valhalla in time for his Friday round, where he fired a 66.
This morning, more video of the incident was released, showing Scheffler in the back of a police car discussing the situation with another officer.
