SPOTTED: Ben Hogan Golf Releases UiHi Utility Club and VKTR+ Hybrids

While golf has slowed down product releases and product availability from some of the major OEMs, it doesn’t appear that Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company’s Factory-Direct business is getting stuck in the mud.

So to help round out the top of your bag, Ben Hogan Golf is releasing two new products that can help you attack some Par 5s and round out that combo set.

The UiHi utility club was engineered to be incredibly easy-to-hit with the same kind of controlled swing golfers would take with shorter irons. The two-piece, hollow head—which features a forgiving, deep cavity and low-and-rearward center of gravity to help get the ball in the air—was designed with a larger head to instill confidence and make the UiHi appear to be more highly-lofted.

For the hybrid player, Ben Hogan Golf has redeveloped the VKTR+ Hybrids. The new iteration of the VKTR+ is an optimized version of the original VKTR hybrid and features a high toe that encourages golfers to swing it more like an iron, rather than a wood.

However, unlike the prior VKTR, bulge and roll—which is more commonly found on a driver or fairway metal—has been added to help leverage gear effect to bring mishits back online. Face thickness also varies from toe to heel and crown to sole to provide additional forgiveness.

The clean lines, lack of disorienting, excessive graphics and minimal offset are designed to help the VKTR+ hybrid be the go-to club when in need of hitting a long and accurate shot from the fairway.

“Hitting long irons well has always been a challenge for golfers of all ability levels,” said Scott White, President and CEO of Ben Hogan Golf Equipment Company. “That’s especially true now, as many golfers around the world haven’t been playing much, nor had the opportunity to practice. The UiHi utility irons and new VKTR+ hybrid clubs will make that part of the game a little less daunting for golfers returning to the courses … and in the future.”

Individually, BOTH the UiHi utility iron ($110) and VKTR+ hybrids ($140) are both available and exclusively sold through the Ben Hogan Golf Equipment website here. Both clubs are available in 18°, 22° and 26° to replace traditional 3, 4 and 5 irons.

Speaking of combo sets, the introduction of UiHi Utility Irons and VKTR+ Hybrids has enabled Ben Hogan Golf to satisfy a long-standing golfer request for combination sets.

However, while other combo sets from other equipment manufacturers often fail to properly transition game-enhancement technology through the set, the Ben Hogan Golf Player’s Combo Sets allow golfers to assemble a set that best suits them without having to play to the same line throughout their bag.
