Galvin Green is one of the top performing golf apparel companies. Hailing from Europe, Galvin Green has become most well-known for its outerwear collections that allow golfers across the pond the ability to enjoy a round, regardless of the weather they encounter.

Fortunately, the success of Galvin Green has allowed the company the ability to develop a very wide range of outerwear, ranging from lightweight waterproof jackets like the ASHTON with SHAKEDRY, to its more intense thermals like the DASH.

For 2020, Galvin Green is debuting the APOLLO—a waterproof jacket that is the first model made in GORE-TEX Paclite.

Notably, the APOLLO jacket took 2 years to develop. Various designs were tested to ultimately identify the one that ensured the pocket addition wouldn’t interfere with the player’s swing. The jacket weighs merely 300 grams (just over ½ a pound), with the extra front pockets (which are perfect for keeping your hands dry) adding only 25 grams to its overall weight.

With respect to the new GORE-TEX Paclite technology, GORE-TEX was able to develop a material that is lightweight, extremely breathable, totally windproof, and waterproof. As a result, you can easily fit the APOLLO jacket into your bag. With the held of the shaped sleeves, velcro fastener, and adjustable wrists, the APOLLO will help you stay warm and dry without inhibiting your swing.

The APOLLO jacket in GORE-TEX Paclite stretch fabric comes in 6 stunning color options, including 4 sporty multi-color combinations and 2 solid options,  ranging in sizes from Small to 3XL. The APOLLO jacket retails at a price of $450.

While that’s certainly on the pricer side of the spectrum, it’s hard to put a value on staying dry, especially when you’re in the middle of a round with some money on the line.
