SPOTTED: Rickie Fowler Appears to be Using New 2023 Cobra Driver
A few weeks ago, we came across a lucky break when a caddie spotted what appears to be Cobra’s 2023 driver: the AeroJet.
What was particularly interesting (and suspicious) is that this model was spotted back in September, several months before the OEM’s traditionally let any of their upcoming models see the light of day prior to the January release.
However, it seems that somebody may have slipped up because recent media indicates that it was, in fact, Cobra’s new driver getting some very early on-course play.

YouTube Golfer Rick Shiels recently posted a video of him going head-to-head with Rickie Fowler at the Medalist Golf Club (Jupiter, FL). During the video, there are several shots of Rickie letting it rip with the driver, and both golfers walking near the rear of the cart. With a keen eye, viewers can spot that Rickie has what appears to be the AeroJet.

The AeroJet has also appeared on the USGA’s Conforming List, which provides us with some starting details about the new driver, including that there will be three different models: the standard AeroJet, a LS (low-spin), and MAX (high MOI/forgiveness).
Each appears to be available in 9° and 10.5° heads, which (in all likelihood) can be adjusted with Cobra’s MyFly adjustable hosel.
