Stephen Curry And ABC Are Creating New Mini-Golf Competition
Everyone knows that Stephen Curry has game with a basketball in his hand but golf fans also know that he can handle himself with a club as well. And now, Curry is taking his love for golf to a new level by creating a little TV series about it.
It was reported on Wednesday that Curry and ABC were in talks to produce a television series about mini-golf. The series will have contestants compete at a mini-golf course called “Holey Moley.”
The participants will compete in three rounds per episode, concluding with the three finalists playing something called “Mt. Holey Moley.” The winner in each episode will receive the “Golden Putter” and the “Holey Moley Plaid Jacket.”

It seems like an incredibly quirky idea but there is nothing people like more than a good round of mini-golf so I think this could be an interesting pilot show.
As SVP of Alternative Series, Specials and Late Night at ABC Rob Mills said, “Everyone has a favorite memory of playing miniature golf, whether it was as a child with your family, with a group of friends as a teenager, or on an awkward first date. Take that feeling, add high stakes competition and out-of-this-world challenges, and we have no doubt ‘Holey Moley’ will stand alongside other golf classics…”
It’s interesting to see Curry get involved with this type of event but it makes sense when you think about it. Steph was supposed to be the sponsor of his own professional tournament but that deal seems to have fallen through, at least for the 2019 season. Perhaps while he waits to reopen negotiations about his own pro golf event, this will be a nice side project to work on and familiarize himself with more golf fans.
There’s no set date yet for when this potential show could hit the television but with Curry behind it and ABC or ESPN likely to broadcast it, it’s sure to pick up a lot of fans quickly. Only time will tell how successful this show can be but I for one will be tuning in to see what it’s all about when the time comes.
