Stephen Curry Wins American Century Championship With Clutch Eagle Putt on Final Hole
We’ve seen Stephen Curry come through in the clutch countless times on the basketball court. But the four-time NBA champion did it on the golf course this time, sinking an 18-foot eagle putt on the final hole to win the American Century Championship on Sunday.

The annual celebrity tournament on the shores of Lake Tahoe is a summer highlight for many athletes during their offseason, including New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Tony Romo, and Annika Sorenstam.
The event used the Modified Stableford scoring system. Tennis great Mardy Fish led Curry by three points going into the final hole and gained another point with a par. Under the system, a birdie is worth three points, and an eagle gets six. So Curry’s eagle was the only chance for him to win.
It was the second time in as many days that Curry had the biggest highlight from the event. On Saturday, he drained the second hole-in-one of his career, which sparked off a wild celebration that saw the Golden State Warriors great sprint from the tee to the green.
