STORY: Steph Curry Tells How Tiger Woods Fired Him Up For The 2015 NBA Finals

This past week the Goat of the NFL won his 7th Super Bowl. I’ve heard some rumors that all week he was texting his team saying “we’re going to win”. When Tom Brady texts you with that much confidence, you know you’re ready to go. That man never stops preparing and is always focused on winning.

He’s not the only Goat pumping up athletes. Tiger Woods called Steph Curry during the 2015 NBA playoffs and set the tone.

Curry was on the Huddle & Flow podcast when this story came out. “We were down two-one . . . It was the biggest pep talk of all time, just out of the blue. He spoke some life into that comeback. I said, ‘I’m ready for it, I know I can get it done.’ He dropped the mic at the end of the call and just said, ‘Prove it’ and then hung up. . . . It don’t get no better than that. He lit the fire under me for sure.” When the greatest, most confident champion of all time (my opinion) calls you up, you listen. When he drops the hammer (and the mic) you go out there and make him proud. Steph and the Warriors went on to win the NBA championship 4-2 over the Cavaliers.  I guess the call worked.

Ed started playing golf when he was 18. It started out as a hobby and something he liked to do but by 2014 it had turned into a full blown obsession. Since then Ed has committed himself to improving and learning more about the game. He doesn’t work in the golf industry, he’s not a teaching pro, he’s a guy who just loves the game and enjoys sharing his thoughts with others who share the same passion.
