The Minnesota native, Mardy Fish is no stranger to solid competitive golf, but never has teed it up professionally on the PGA Tour. Fish recently won at the ClubCorp Classic on the Champions Tour, beating playing competitor Tony Romo in a playoff. This isn’t the first time we have seen Fish raise the hardware.

Since 1990, the American Century Championship has been hosting top athletes at the beautiful Edgewood Tahoe. Not only that, but these players know how to navigate around a golf course.

Tony Romo won in 2018 and 2019 with a low score of 68 on Sunday in 2018. Fish was able to get his own piece of glory in 2020, shooting a staggering 63 in the second round to secure his place in ACC history.

Fish will be taking on a new challenge thanks to a sponsor’s exemption by making his PGA debut at the 3M Open. Mardy is excited about the opportunity and will be playing on home turf as the 3M Open will take place in Blaine, Minnesota. He will also be making history by being on the first ATP Tour for tennis and also on the PGA Tour.

All the best to Mardy Fish this week at the 3M Open.
