TGA Junior Golf Clubs Review
I’ll be honest, before recently giving them a try I knew very little about who TGA was and what they represented. As a father of a three-year-old girl who is beginning to love the game of golf, when TGA contacted me I jumped at the chance to review a set of junior clubs. In my research to learn more about the club manufactures, I found that there is more to TGA than just golf equipment.
The Company
Not only can you find high-quality golf gear for your young ones on TGA’s website, but you’ll receive a wealth of knowledge about programs; which is essentially the next step right?
TGA is definitely leading the initiative to introduce a life-long sport at a young age through their various programs. These programs provide fun and enriching experiences for children while being convenient and affordable. Not only can you can you buy golf equipment for your child, but through TGA you can put your child in front of dedicated coaches who have a passion for helping students develop their skills and a passion for golf.
As a father, it’s more than just the golf and trying to get your child onto the PGA or LPGA TOUR. I love how TGA uses sports as a vehicle for delivering programs that are loaded with educational concepts like STEM and those important life skills and etiquette such as respect, honesty, perseverance and sportsmanship.
I dug a little further and essentially, TGA’s mission is right there in its name. TGA stands for: “Teach, Grow, Achieve” and this is exactly what they strive to do.
The Clubs
When the clubs arrived I was blown away by the product that TGA produces. The set came in the pink color we (read: my 3-year old daughter) asked for and was loaded with a high quality set of golf clubs including a driver with a head cover, a seven iron, a wedge, and a putter. The spacious kickstand bag has enough pockets for all of the essentials; in my case, a load of pink golf balls and a very small glove.

TGA offers five sizes of clubs designed to fit all juniors so don’t worry about age. Here are some fun facts about their golf clubs and what to expect upon receipt of these top notch clubs:
- Largest driver in junior golf (excellent for beginners).
- The only perfectly centered “sweet spot” in junior golf.
- Shaft flex and weighting designed for age group and height.
- Most sets available in right and left handed options.
- Full sets start as low as $89.
- Free shipping on all domestic orders.
Who says golf has to be monetarily prohibitive…for less than $100 you can give your child everything that they need to begin their journey in golf! We plan on using these clubs for a long time, at least the next 7-10 years, and we can easily change out shaft sizes as my daughter grows.
The Test and Quality
The carry bag is just as convenient for a child to wear as it is for an adult. In fact, my daughter loved carrying the bag and placing it into the stand position to take out her next club. Giving a child their own set of clubs in my experience, has led to more intrigue and her wanting to practice more. Seeing your three-year-old take her new golf balls out of the sleeve and fill up her very own golf bag in excitement warms your heart as a parent; especially a parent who loves golf!

My daughter passed the test and loved her new clubs — and even hit them quite nicely! As a complete beginner, she doesn’t know the difference between good and poor quality products but let me tell you, I certainly do and I can say that these clubs are made very well. I took a swing with the driver (from a crouched over position) to test out the durability of the driver head (I’ll spare you the pictures). The whip of the shaft felt just like a normal club and the driver head supported a semi-hard swing. These clubs are built to last, very light, and easy carry.

I have seen countless junior golf products that made poorly and eventually fall apart and I’d consider them more as toys than legit golf equipment. My daughter has put in many “range sessions” with these clubs already and at the the very young age of three, you can imagine how many mishits I have witnessed. The violent blast of the club head on the ground before or after the ball has no effect on these clubs and they look as good as new still. I am confident that my daughter will continue to play with these clubs for many years to come.
Where to Get Them
Ultimately, the best place to score a set of these clubs is right off of TGA’s website. The prices vary depending on age and size but I can tell you that the prices range from $89.99 to $199.99. As mentioned earlier, you can also find out more information about local golf programs for your child on the same website.
