THE MATCH: DJ, Rory, Wolff, and Fowler to Carry Their Own Clubs
One of the many perks of being a TOUR Pro is not having to carry your own golf bag – but that just changed. Now, the much anticipated match between Rory & DJ vs. Wolff & Rickie just got even better.

Without any golf for months now, we couldn’t be more excited to watch a televised golf match with some of the game’s most elite TOUR players. On May 17th Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Matt Wolff, and Rickie Fowler, will face in an epic 2v2 skins match at Seminole Golf Club, to be televised nationally.
But there’s a twist, not only will there be no fans, but the players will not have their caddies by their side that day.

I can’t even begin to imagine, what it will be like for a player to have to carry their own bag and still walk the course. We’ve seen Rickie and JT play a friendly match together with no caddies but they were also able to have a cart.
In my opinion, this makes the event more interesting. Making pro players carry their own bags can change the way they play completely. Imagine not having to carry your bag for years and then all of a sudden you do. Wouldn’t that throw you off — well, let’s see.
Granted they’ll be carrying much lighter Sunday bags, but still it’s not something they are used to. How tired will they get? And more importantly, how much will their game change for 18 holes of carrying your own golf bag?
Let’s see!
