Tiger Woods Has Withdrawn From The PGA Championship

Tiger Woods battled and grinded at Southern Hills this week for the PGA Championship. He opened the tournament with a 4-over, 74, but clawed his way back to make the cut with a 1-under 69 to play the weekend.

Woods just doesn’t seem to be ready yet physically to take on the walking of four rounds. Again, not a favorable course to walk with the hilly terrain of the golf course. Especially for someone that nearly could have lost their leg.

Today’s round on Saturday was a difficult one for Woods, shooting a 41 on the front with a triple bogey on the 6th hole. Struggles continued on the back 9 with another 4 bogeys and one birdie to finish the round with a 9-over, 79 for Tiger. This round made for the worst round ever in a PGA Championship in his career.

This tournament seemed to take more of a toll on Tiger in comparison to him than playing in the Masters last month. The pain was more visible and frequent throughout his rounds.

Rory was impressed by his will to carry on and continue to fight it out, giving his best. It is likely we won’t see Tiger again till July to play the Open Championship at St. Andrews.
