Tiger Woods Health Before Masters Tournament Revealed
Tiger Woods is gearing up to break yet another record at Augusta National for this year’s Masters tournament.
We weren’t sure whether the news around his abstinence was some aftershock from April Fools, but the news appears to be legitimate, according to an insider. So much so that the New York Post ran with it. Check it out.
Instead, I’m looking at the fact Woods has officially entered the shortened field this year at the Masters, but I think his physical condition is deteriorating from what we may believe from the outside. Tiger always said that he wouldn’t enter if he didn’t think he could win. He first said that way back when in his interview with Curtis Strange, pre-empting the infamous ‘You’ll learn’ from the Tour veteran. What a classic.

But yes, if Tiger’s condition is really as bad as suggested by close friend Notah Begay III, then we may see another premature withdrawal from the game’s biggest star at the year’s biggest tournament, for the second year running.
Tiger allegedly has ‘zero mobility’ in his ankle. As per USA Today, Begay commented:
“He’s trying to formulate a strategy and approach that he can work within, given the constraints that he’s presented with. And he’s got some constraints. He’s got zero mobility in that left ankle and really has lower back challenges now. For the past couple of months, he’s been trying to find a way to recover.”
This might put Notah Begay III in the bad books as Tiger is well-known for cutting people off who talk about his personal life to the media. Unless what NB3 is saying carries some merit. Tiger apparently played last week (can’t get away from those pesky private jet trackers) with chairman Fred Ridley and close friend Justin Thomas.
Woods prides himself on that cut record, having never missed one at Augusta and aiming for his 24th made cut this time around. The five time champion fought tooth and nail to shoot an opening 71 last year, grinding over every putt and approach shot.
