Titleist appears to be hopping on the Mini-Driver hype as images of a new CRAZY TSR 2-wood are circulating, and it has already landed on the USGA’s Conforming List.

Cameron Young is playing the “prototype” club in his bag for the PGA Championship, and it has already been a weapon for the Titleist golfer in two other tournaments: The PLAYERS and The Masters.

Young has the TSR 2-wood in his bag. Although Titleist has not yet commented on the club, Golfweek has some details about the interesting stick, which could be the newest addition to the company’s lineup.

The USGA’s Conforming List shows the loft as 13°, but Titleist’s SureFit hosel system, which appears to be equipped, helps the club adjust to lofts as low as 12.25° and as high as 16°.

It also has moveable weights to help increase or decrease launch angle, manipulate spin readings, and help with draws and fades, as many drivers do in today’s game.

The Mini-Driver is becoming somewhat of a mainstay in some players bags after TaylorMade offered its BRNR Mini-Driver earlier this year. Players like Rory McIlroy have been seen using the club due to its versatility, offering more playability than a normal big stick.

This is the image the USGA has on their site as being submitted by Titleist for its Conforming List. It looks awfully similar to what Young is playing, and with a closer look, it seems to say ‘2W’ above the SureFit hosel.

We will keep you posted on what Titleist brings to us in terms of what this club might be, when it might hit the shelves, and what it could possibly cost. Nevertheless, it seems to be an ideal addition to its great lineup of offerings.
