TO THE HATERS: Lexi Thompson Takes Relief from Social Media

Lexi Thompson is one of the most recognizable players on the LPGA. She has 13 professional wins and at only 24 years old much of her career is still unwritten.

Unfortunately, with great success and popularity people are often faced with hurtful and rude comments. Because of this, Lexi has made the decision to step away from social media platforms for a while to better focus on herself.

Lexi’s last win on the LPGA came in 2018 at the CME Group Tour Championship and she finished 3rd in the 2019 ANA Inspiration back in March.

Hopefully this time away from social media will help Lexi clear her head from the negative social media comments and lead to more victories.

The LPGA is filled with some amazingly talented people. This sign of maturity from Lexi is a great example for young ladies that you can block out the noise from social media trolls.

I hope to see Lexi back on social media later this year, hopefully holding up another trophy.
