TOUR: Does Patrick Reed Really Have A Burner Twitter Account?
When I watch movies or TV shows I’m often drawn to the villain. Their confidence and bravado. Complete lack of respect for others around them or the rules of society. You would think I would be a Patrick Reed fan but I’m not. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate the guy at all. I don’t want anything bad to happen to him.
I just don’t get the feels when he wins a tournament. Even more so when he pulls a signature Reed move by improving his ball’s lie while making it look like an honest mistake. I would have been like many of you and called him out for it on Twitter but I’m blocked. No shock there. Maybe I should create a burner account? If it’s good enough for Reed, it’s good enough for me right?

In the tweet Reed and the mystery Twitter account user alleged that Rory did the same thing. When I watch the clip I hear him say his thought, tell his partners and what appears to be a few rules officials near by that he thought his ball wad embedded.
Then he said what he was going to do. He then asks to double check what he should do and moves forward. To my untrained, amateur golfer eye, this seems like a legit move by Rory but only the PGA will know for sure

Maybe he isn’t running the account. Maybe it’s his wife Justine or someone just trying to make him look bad. It’s not outrageous to think that a pro athlete has a burner account. It’s the only way many athletes can say what they want to say without any sponsorship backlash.
Just make sure you tweet from the correct account next time. Having a word for word tweet from an alleged burner account sits funny. Like a ball in the grass that needs to be propped up a bit, just fluff the tweet a little bit next time. Nobody will notice.

As far as his colleagues on tour are concerned, they have to walk a fine line. They can’t just say the dudes cheating but they probably won’t split an Airbnb with him in the near future.

The worst part of all regarding Reeds most recent cheating scandal is that he’s actually really talented. He can win without this shit but it still keeps happening. Maybe we should discuss on the pod someday?
