Tour Pro Launches Putter into Pond, Shoots A 63 Putting With Wedge
Golf is hard. It’s frustrating and you have to battle your emotions with every swing. It’s even more difficult when you’re trying to make a name for yourself on the pro tour (not like I’d know).
Sometimes these emotions get the best of us and a club gets tossed. But what is that is the best thing you could have done for your game that day?
During 2nd round Sunday Matt Every shot 29 on front nine at Riviera Open
Bogeyed 10 and 12, slams putter on the cart path, picks it up, helicopters into the middle of a pond.
Putts with a wedge the last 6 holes…plays them 4 under, shoots 63, finishes 6th.
The man is a legend.— Monday Q Info (@acaseofthegolf1) December 8, 2021
The man shot 4 under while putting with his wedge! Most of is can’t do that from the white tee’s, on a open course using the best new Scotty money can buy.
Matt Every even acknowledged this incredible accomplishment with this IG post. Just read his caption.

Maybe he would have finished 1st if he tossed the putter on 10?
Such a great story, but I’m not going to try the Every wedge challenge any time soon.
