TOUR: Scottie Scheffler Joins Team TaylorMade
Scottie Scheffler’s golf game has been in a real rhythm, as demonstrated by a pair of wins (the Waste Management Phoenix Open and Arnold Palmer Invitational) and several additional top 10 finishes.
It seems that TaylorMade isn’t going to let Scheffler—who’s never been under under equipment contract, but has been playing some TaylorMade equipment—go and join a competitor.

Just hours before his first round in THE PLAYERS Championship, Scheffler and TaylorMade have announced entry into a multi-year deal.
“TaylorMade equipment has been integral in my career for many years, and I couldn’t be more excited to formally be a part of their roster of elite golfers,” Scheffler said in a press release. “I’ve worked with TaylorMade’s team on Tour for multiple seasons and their commitment to getting the right equipment in my bag was a driving force in joining Team TaylorMade. Continuously working to get my game to the highest level will always be at the forefront of my approach and I am thrilled to combine my passion for success with that already established culture at TaylorMade.”
Scheffler has been using TaylorMade irons during his professional career, including the TaylorMade P730 irons and more recently the P-7TW irons, but has also put in play fairway woods, wedges, putters, and balls from other brands. But that may be changing.
Scheffler will be joining TaylorMade Staffers Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, Matthew Wolff, Tommy Fleetwood, and Tiger Woods. Although Woods played in the PNC Championship bank in December, he has not confirmed when he may be returning to golf. While many speculate Tiger may be joining the field at Augusta, others suggest that he would not return to The Masters unless he was 100% confident he could win.
Fortunately, the addition of Scheffler should help increase TaylorMade’s chances of locking in some additional victories during the 2021-22 PGA TOUR season.
