TOUR: Who to Watch in Round Two of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play
With many big names conceding in round one of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, some may wonder, who’s still in the running, and why should I tune in?
Firstly, your NCAA Tournament bracket was busted days ago. Look, you knew the odds were slim, but be honest, did you know they were this bad?
For comparison the odds of winning the powerball are 292 million to 1. So the odds are 31 billion times HARDER to have a perfect NCAA bracket

So with no hope left for your favorite tourney team, and with the Master’s approaching quickly, there is no better time than now to tune in and get on the Dustin Johnson hype train if you aren’t already. After winning his first round matchup with Adam Long, Johnson looks to get hot in anticipation of Augusta. If there’s one thing I know, it’s that Johnson is scary when he gets some forward momentum.

Johnson, who’s all-time match play record sits at 16-14-0, looks to keep his record well above .500 today as he squares off against Robert MacIntyre. The pair is set to tee off at 2:32pm ET.
Another big name to watch today is Jon Rahm. The Spainard squeaked out a sloppy win in the first round over Sebastian Munoz, though Munoz gave Rahm just about all he could handle. Munoz, a match play rookie, went on a run with Rahm up 3, and birdied 4 consecutive holes to tie up the match.
As it came down to the wire, Rahm hit a wicked 8-footer to seal the deal. Rahm is now set to face off against Shane Lowry, (4:00pm ET) who was blown out in his first round matchup.
Rahm’s matchplay success is due in part to his great attitude towards the format itself. He feels that it provides a different, yet manageable challenge that a normal tournament wouldn’t offer.
“I love match play. It is the one time you play one-on-one against somebody else,” Rahm said in an interview with Tim Schmitt of GolfWeek . “I enjoy it a lot. I really, really like it. It’s about just trying to somehow get it done. Strategies change, it goes back and forth, sometimes you need to be aggressive, sometimes you don’t. It’s certainly something I wish we had more often.”
Look out for Rahm as he seeks to make some waves today and throughout the weekend. With his switch from Taylormade still visible in the rearview mirror, winning it all this weekend could be a great win for both him and Callaway.
