Train With Purpose & Gain Speed With The Stack System

Up & Down Review: The Stack System Is THE Speed Training System. With different training programs, regular testing, and A.I., The Stack leverages research and data to help you maximize your speed.

Distance is a weapon, so it’s no surprise that speed training systems are plentiful.  But which one is best, or what makes one different than the others?  Well after having experience with 3 different speed training devices, allow me to explain why I believe that The Stack is the best.

Co-founded by sports biomechanic Dr. Sasho MacKenzie and former PGA golfer Marty Jertson, The Stack System is a 41.5″ shaft and 5 CNC milled weights,  consisting of a 20g, 45g, 60g, 75g and 100g.  The 5 interchangeable weights means that there are over 30 different weight combinations, ranging from 0g to 100g.

The Stack hardware is beautiful.  The CNC milled weights have the different weights laser etched into them, along with unique grooves that make it easy to quickly distinguish which ones you need to add or remove.

But The Stack’s X-Factor that puts it leaps and bounds ahead of the speed training competition is the research and training methodologies that make The Stack app.

After downloading and logging into the The Stack app, it’ll prompt you to take the Baseline Initial Assessment.  After taking a couple swings a different weights and a final few with your driver, The Stack app will recommend one of the training programs, which consist of 18-24 sessions (with each session taking between 15-20 minutes to complete) and take between 6-8 weeks to complete.

Regardless of which program you’re suggested, The Stack will (i) tell you how much (if any) weights to add, (ii) tell you how many swings to make at that weight, (iii) audibly countdown the break you take between swings  (10-15 seconds), and (iv) the break to take in between sets (~3 minutes).  Additionally, after each swing, you can either yell out or manually enter your swing speed (captured from whatever radar device you use, like a PRGR Black pocket launch monitor).

What’s great is that after going through a few trainings, The Stack will notify you when you’ve hit a personal best for a single swing speed or swing set at a certain weight.  Additionally, at the conclusion of a training session, it’ll show you some quality stats—your calculated driver “eSpeed” and distance potential—that will help motivate you to remain committed to the training.

At the conclusion of whatever program you’re assigned, The Stack will retest you and recommend the next program that it believes will help you see the biggest gains.  It is important to note that, as of this moment, no other speed training system has this and it makes a BIG difference.

Now I’d like to focus on my use of “believe”, because Dr. Sasho MacKenzie developed the programs and the A.I. that recommends what training program you would benefit most from after analyzing years of speed training data and developing algorithms that can provide a customized program option.  As already stated, no other speed training system offers this to its users.

And this is really important because if you were to repeat over and over again a standardized training program (3 times a week, 5 swings at 3 different weights), you would eventually hit a plateau that would stall out your development.  The Stack, meanwhile, programs to make sure you do not run into that progress “wall” and can consistently be chasing meaningful gains.

After going through the Foundation program twice, I saw my eSpeed go from 114 to 121 and Distance Potential go from 321 to 340.  In other words, after 12 weeks of speed training with The Stack, I added 7 MPH of clubhead speed and 19 yards off the tee.

Standing alone, those are really incredible gains that make buying The Stack worth it.  But what’s even more impressive is that I made these gains after having consistently doing speed training with other devices for ~4 years.  So while I thought I had hit my limit, merely switching from other training devices & methodologies to The Stack yielded gains that I saw when I first added speed training to regime.

If you’re into car analogies (which I am), The Stack is a Tesla—it’s very fast and packed with technology you cannot find anywhere else.   Yes, also like a Tesla, The Stack is more expensive than some of the other options out there.

If you want to have the most advanced speed training system that will provide custom-level training to make sure you’re constantly maximizing your potential, you are going to need to grab The Stack.
