Its too early to freak out but hopefully this isn’t a sign of things to come. Tiger Woods announced on Friday that he won’t be teeing it up at the Wells Fargo Championship scheduled to take place May 2nd through May 5th at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte. The Wells Fargo has been held at Quail Hallow since 2003 and is expected to have a competitive field even with the absence of Tiger.

Now I don’t think this is anything the worry about for you Tiger fans. Woods is coming off his first Major in 10 years and with the well documented history of injuries its my guess that he’s playing it safe. He was even putting on a private show on the newly formed GOLFTV via some posts on Twitter. Still after reaching such a high on Masters Sunday seeing him win again so many of the golf world is thirsty for more.

There is no belief at this time that this withdrawal is due to any injuries and he is most likely playing it safe. Tiger is expected to return to competitive competition when he takes on the famous Bethpage black course as he goes for his 16th major on May 16th.

Ed started playing golf when he was 18. It started out as a hobby and something he liked to do but by 2014 it had turned into a full blown obsession. Since then Ed has committed himself to improving and learning more about the game. He doesn’t work in the golf industry, he’s not a teaching pro, he’s a guy who just loves the game and enjoys sharing his thoughts with others who share the same passion.
