Tyrrell Hatton Celebrates Back to Back Victories at Burger King
The youth movement continues to take over golf and while most eyes have been on the PGA TOUR, the same thing has been happening on the European Tour. And Tyrrell Hatton is the latest example of the young star power.
Hatton made some limited appearances on the PGA TOUR this past season but is mostly known as a rising star across the pond. And Hatton is living up to his hype lately, as he has won two straight European Tour tournaments. After winning the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship for a second straight year, Hatton took home the Italian Open crown after burying a 15-foot birdie putt on 18 to avoid a playoff.
Hatton described the day as a battle that he was happy to come out of on top. ”It was a battle with myself today,” said Hatton. ”But my caddie kept saying it would come in the end and it did. … I got a hot streak with the putter, which helps a lot.” Hot streak seems to be an understatement based on his recent play.

After winning in Italy, the bigger story about Hatton was how he decided to celebrate his recent success. He and his caddie decided to go out for a “dinner of champions,” and found themselves enjoying only the finest cuisine, Burger King. It makes sense, since Hatton has been playing like a king, and even received the crown to match as you can see in his Twitter video.
I’m sure that Hatton could have bought a lot of whoppers and fries with his recent success, as he has earned a total of just under $2 million over the past two weeks. And he could be in line to make more after his trip to Burger King. Wesley Bryan did something similar, going to Taco Bell to celebrate a win, and that earned him a sponsorship. Maybe Hatton can land something similar.
Regardless of if he gets a deal with Burger King, I think Hatton will continue to eat there after his big victories. And with the streak that he’s been on, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him enjoying some chicken fries next week after another win.
