VALENTINE’S DAY: Things We’d LOVE for the 2020 Golf Season
It’s Valentine’s Day. Love is in the air, and if there’s anything I’d love to be doing right now, it would be teeing it up anywhere (it’s been grey and ugly out this whole week in the NYC-area).
That said, I try to be a forgive-and-forget kinda person, so if your Valentine dropped the ball and forgot to get you something special, here are a few ideas that will help keep your heart from breaking:
Under Armour Spieth 4 GTXs
While most of us can’t treat ourselves to new clubs every year, you should try to treat yourself to shoes every so often (especially if you’re playing a lot and in less than ideal weather). So if you’re in the market for new spiked shoes, the Under Armour Spieth 4s should be on your list.

Indeed, one of the largest advancements in the Spieth 4 is the durability. With the help of GORE-TEX fibers, the Spieth 4 are designed to be, simultaneously, 100% waterproof and breathable. Indeed, the upper Clarino microfiber upper section & a lightweight waterproof membrane can release perspiration in order to keep your feet cool and dry.
Additionally, the Spieth 4s feature Under Armour’s Signature Rotational Resistance Traction technology that helps create traction through resistance in both vertical and horizontal directions to help keep the feet planted throughout the duration of a golf swing. In other words, the unique sole design promotes stable rotation while keeping you anchored to the turf.
The Spieth 4 GTXs gone on sale March 2020 on UA.com, so perhaps your Valentine can give you an IOU for the time being.
BIG MAX TI LITE and Dri Lite Hybrid
If you happen to be a walker (or are considering giving a chance) or are a golfer who doesn’t shy away from the elements, it’s probably in your best interest to have equipment that is durable and built to withstand mother nature. Fortunately, BIG MAX has products designed to address both of these needs.
For the walker, the new TI LITE is the lightest push cart that BIG MAX has ever produced. Despite that, BIG MAX hasn’t cut corners and the TI LITE is still durable and comes equipped with all the practical features you would want, including an organizer panel that has space for balls, sunglasses and an umbrella, along with the capability of quickly collapsing and folding up for transport storage.

Additionally, BIG MAX’s Dri Lite Hybrid is a water-resistant stand bag that features a footless flat base and leg lock system to help the Hybrid sit perfectly square and secure on a cart or push cart.
To help protect the Dri Lite Hybrid’s leg mechanism from the abuse of repeatedly being loaded onto a cart, BIG MAX located the leg mechanic lower on the bag so a reinforced section of the bag makes contact with the cart instead of the legs. This also helps prevent the Dri Lite Hybrid from twisting and turning stideways by ensuring a snug fit on the upper bag brackets.

Despite the Dri Lite Hybrid being equipped with 7 spacious waterproof pockets and 14 way full length dividers, it only weighs 4.4 lbs, making the the Hybrid easy to carry while keeping all your gear completely dry.
Toptracer Range
Okay, so maybe you don’t own a driving range and that makes this one a bit of a stretch (unless you’re Jeff Bezos, who just bought a $165 million Beverly Hills mansion that comes with a 9-hole golf course).
Nevertheless, Toptracer Range is the newest release from the people at Topgolf and uses the same ball-tracking technology that traces the shots of the games best players on TV. Equipped with a variety of practice and game modes, Toptracer Range technology provides instant shot replays and statistical feedback in your hitting bay or the new mobile app (which also helps you locate the nearest Toptracer Range).

So while this might not be something your Valentine could provide, perhaps it’s time to pass a suggestion to the local Pro or GM at your favorite golf course that the driving range is overdue for an upgrade.
