Viktor Hovland’s Golf Clubs Are Lost Ahead of Genesis Scottish Open
Hovland caught a bad break when he arrived at the Edinburg, Scotland airport on Tuesday. He was informed that his clothes and clubs were still sitting back in Frankfurt Germany unfortunately. Hovland was optimistic that there was still time for the clubs to arrive on Wednesday, but to his misfortune, he still did not have his equipment.
Fortunate enough to have a Ping Tour van on site, Viktor was able to get a new set built for him on Tuesday as a plan B, which ultimately was taken.

Even though clubs similar can be built, it can be said that it might have been a little off-putting for Hovland given his play after his first round. Hovland finished +4 after the first round, he will need to battle back to be able to play weekend golf at the Genesis Scottish Open.
Hopefully, to Hovland’s fortune, his clubs will arrive on time for the second round.

Meanwhile, the leader is American Cameron Tringale who shot a stellar 9 under, 61 in the first round. Fellow, American Gary Woodland, and U.S. Open Champion is trailing him by 3 shots. Lots of great golf to be played in the coming rounds in this deep field.
