WAIT: This Guy Shot a 55 on the Course Today?!
The standing joke would be that is a score for 9 holes, because a 55 is simply ridiculous for individual stroke play. However, Andrew Ruthkoski did the unthinkable this week and shot a 17-under, 55.
The lowest round on the PGA Tour is 58, by Jim Furyk which happened in the 2016 Travelers Championship. Funny enough, the Travelers Championship is this week, the very same week that Ruthkoski revealed his magical 55 to the world.
Coincidence?

Andrew Ruthkowski had an insane start on the front 9 with four eagles, three birdies, absolutely madness. After the sixth hole Ruthkowski’s step daughters had to return the cart to the clubhouse since it was nearly 9pm.
A friend of Ruthokowski’s rode alongside him with a cart he owns for the entirety of the round. One can only imagine the emotions that a golf fan and the player were feeling during that round. Thank God for his friend and his cart!
He “cooled” off on the back 9 and shot a smooth 30 for a total of outstanding 55, what a round Andrew Ruthkowski!
He is lead Golf Instructor at Under Par Lessons in Norton Shores, Michigan and is no stranger to great golf.He has qualified for six events on the PGA Tour while also winning 4 times on a professional level. Next, he will be trying to qualify for the John Deere Classic which is next week! This likely won’t be the last time we hear from Ruthkowski.
