We all famously know Hideki Matsuyama for dropping his club for sub-standard shots in his eyes that turn out good. However, Mark Hubbard took that to a new level by acing the 11th hole in disbelief that his golf ball actually went into the hole. It went in with fashion as well, catching the entire hole before it sank to the bottom of the cup. Playing partner or caddy said, “Didn’t count. I’m not high-fiving you.”

Hubbard went on to finish -4 after the first round, which puts him in a solid position going into Friday.

Tony Finau fired a -8, as did Taylor Pendrith, to share the lead at the top as of right now. Lots of golf yet to be played in the Motor City.
